Humidity-Controlled Storage

Thailand's tropical climate presents a serious challenge for storing sensitive items. Relative humidity regularly exceeds 80% during the wet season, which causes wood to warp, metal to corrode, electronics to fail, artworks to mould, and wine to age prematurely. ThaiGo Moving's humidity-controlled storage units maintain a constant relative humidity of 45–55% and a temperature of 20–24°C year-round, regardless of the weather outside. This is achieved through industrial dehumidification units, precision air conditioning, and regular calibration checks by our facilities team.

Our climate-controlled units are particularly popular with expatriates storing artwork, wine collections, musical instruments (particularly guitars, violins, and pianos), antique wooden furniture, important documents and books, vintage clothing, and electronic equipment. We also serve corporate clients storing high-value IT equipment, pharmaceutical samples, and luxury goods. Unlike standard air-conditioned rooms in Thailand (which manage temperature but not humidity), our units are purpose-built for humidity-sensitive storage and are tested and certified to maintain the specified range.

Each humidity-controlled unit is continuously monitored by electronic sensors that alert our facilities team if temperature or humidity exceeds the target range. Clients can request monthly environmental data reports for insurance or conservation purposes. Our Bangkok facility's humidity-controlled wing is located on the upper floors of our secure warehouse building, providing additional protection from ground-level flooding during heavy monsoon rains — a real risk in several Bangkok districts.
