Our Story
ThaiGo Moving was founded in 2011 in Pattaya by Somchai Watcharaporn, a Thai logistics veteran, alongside a small group of experienced expat professionals who had each navigated Thailand's moving landscape from the customer's side — and found it wanting. Together they set out to build a company that would combine the warmth and local knowledge of a Thai business with the documentation standards, insurance frameworks, and operational precision that international clients expect. Starting with two trucks and a five-person crew, the company quickly built a reputation for reliability, transparent pricing, and bilingual service across Bangkok, Pattaya, and Rayong.
Today, ThaiGo Moving has grown into one of Thailand's most trusted full-service logistics companies, operating a modern fleet across the country and shipping to over 80 countries through a carefully selected network of international partner agents. Our mission remains unchanged: make moving, shipping, and storage in Thailand as simple and stress-free as possible — whether you're an expat relocating a household, a business moving an office, or a company exporting goods from the Eastern Seaboard. We are members of TIFFA (Thai International Freight Forwarders Association) and hold all applicable Department of Land Transport licences. Somchai Watcharaporn
CEO & Founder
Somchai founded ThaiGo Moving in 2011 after 15 years in the Thai logistics industry, including senior roles at a major international freight forwarder and a Bangkok-based removal company. Born in Chon Buri and educated in logistics management at Kasetsart University, Somchai recognised early on that the Thai market lacked a moving and logistics company that could seamlessly bridge local residential moves and international freight under one roof. Under his leadership, ThaiGo Moving has grown from a two-truck local mover in Pattaya to a full-service logistics company operating across Thailand with an international freight network spanning 80 countries. Somchai is a member of the Thai International Freight Forwarders Association (TIFFA) and serves on the Eastern Seaboard Business Association's logistics committee.
David Pearce
Operations Manager
David joined ThaiGo Moving in 2016, bringing with him 12 years of operations management experience across Southeast Asia, including roles with a Singapore-based logistics group and a major international moving company's Bangkok branch. A British national who has lived in Thailand since 2009, David oversees day-to-day operations across all moving, storage, and freight forwarding divisions. He is responsible for fleet management, crew scheduling, quality standards, and the company's safety management system. David is an IATA-certified dangerous goods officer, a certified Moving Professional (CMP) through the American Moving & Storage Association, and holds a FIATA Diploma in freight forwarding. His operational expertise is particularly valued by corporate clients who require the precision, documentation, and accountability standards of international mobility programmes.
Nittaya Sangkharat
Head of Customer Relations
Nittaya leads ThaiGo Moving's customer service team and is the primary point of contact for expat and international clients navigating Thailand's moving and logistics landscape for the first time. A Chiang Mai native with a degree in International Business from Chiang Mai University and a master's in service management from Thammasat University, Nittaya joined the company in 2018 after working in hospitality management at international hotel chains in Bangkok and Phuket. Her background in premium service environments sets the tone for ThaiGo Moving's customer communication standards — fast, bilingual, empathetic, and solution-oriented. Nittaya also manages the company's Google and Facebook review responses and online reputation, and she oversees the customer satisfaction survey programme that has maintained the company's 4.8-star average rating across 600+ reviews.
Prasit Thongchai
Senior Logistics Coordinator
Prasit has worked in the Thailand freight and logistics industry for over 20 years, with the last 8 years at ThaiGo Moving where he manages the company's import, export, and customs clearance operations. A licensed Thai customs broker registered with the Thai Customs Department, Prasit oversees all export documentation, HS tariff classifications, Certificate of Origin applications, and import clearance filings for the company's freight forwarding division. He has a detailed working knowledge of Thai Customs' e-Customs electronic system, the NSW National Single Window platform, and the BOI (Board of Investment) import exemption procedures that benefit many of the company's manufacturing clients in the Eastern Economic Corridor. Prasit is fluent in Thai and English and regularly advises clients on complex import scenarios including duty-free personal effects applications, vehicle imports, and restricted commodity clearances.
Malee Chumsai
Storage Facility Manager
Malee manages ThaiGo Moving's Bangkok and Pattaya storage facilities, overseeing daily operations, security protocols, customer access, and the pick-up and drop-off storage service. With a background in facilities management at a Bangkok commercial property company, Malee joined ThaiGo Moving in 2020 and has since overhauled the company's storage SOPs, implemented the digital inventory photography system for the valet storage service, and introduced the electronic environmental monitoring system for the humidity-controlled units. Under her management, the storage division has achieved zero reported security incidents and maintained a facility cleanliness rating of 4.9 stars in customer surveys. Malee is a certified facility manager (CFM) through the International Facility Management Association and is a passionate advocate for the PDPA compliance standards that govern the storage of client documents and records at the company's facilities.
